Lead by local historian, Lawrie Williams, discover Bondi’s glorious and not so glorious past as you are guided around the hidden gems of Bondi. Each walk is approximately 2 hours long with some hills but not too strenuous. Registration essential as numbers are limited to 15.
Its combination of beaches, parks and spectacular views make this walk unique. It started out as a state project during the 1930s, it now extends from Ben Buckler Point to the southern end of Waverley Cemetery. It includes Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte beaches and a medium gradient cliff-top path from Bondi to Tamarama, with occasional seating and several staircases.
The Waverley Cliff Walk is a popular and unique attraction in our community for its natural beauty and panoramic views out to the ocean.
Its Green Links Pedestrian Network has established an integrated network of recreation pedestrian links throughout the community, providing recreational opportunities for all local residents and visitors, as well as providing links to schools, shops, beaches and transport. There will be 6 Green Links walking routes in total.
The walks are easy to follow with footpath stencils and signage.
